Analysis
Speaker/ Author, Audience, Message, : The speaker of this documentary is a man name Morgan Valentine Spurlock. I feel as though the audiences in this documentary are any Americans that eat fast food. The message of this documentary is that many american that eat fast food really never take the time out to evaluate the effect it has on their health.
How traits of speak/ Author, Audience, and Message interrelation: The message of the film is that Americans need to come with the fact that fast food is not good for them and they need to limit the amount of fast food they eat a day because it has a big effect in their health and weight.
Appeals to ethos, logos, and pathos: This file appeals to logos because it uses facts like how the obesity level in the united states have grown over time. It also uses pathos because it uses a little girl that's over weight and she shares her story on how hearing a speak that use to be fat talk about the struggles and the emotional stress we went through help and gave her hope to want to eat health and loss weight.
Context for the message's creation( what happened in society to make the message relevant? what societal trends does the message address? : In our society many people suffer for illnesses such as diabetes and high blood pressure so watching this film helps people to better understand some of the many reasons why this is happening by so doing they might share this film with others making it relevant. The society trend of each generation having diabetes or family members dying of this sickness is what is being addressed in the film.
Purpose for the message's Origination: The purpose for the message origination is from the obesity and debates level growth over the years. Many heath facilities and school our complaining of how the level of obesity has grown from adulteries to kids over the years but yet no one seems to understand why this is happening or where this is coming from.
Types of evidence used( facts, personal experience, statistics, expert, testimony, humor, induction, and deduction, ect.) : The most important evidences Morgan used in the film is that one month of eating only fast food. Morgan's monthly weigh not only showed the effect the food had on this body but also the effect it was having on his health.
Exigency: How the Author "sells the message', or make the reader/viewer care: He sells the message by showing the cause and effect for eating McDonald's everyday.

BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE (before watching documentary) :
I want to start of saying this documentary should teach both Americans and parents a reason why fast food has a big effect on them and their kids. Over the years many Americans have become obesity due to their lack of eating health. Fast food might taste good but it's really not good for you. Many fast food restaurants don't bother to put nutrients facts at the back of every food people buy or even on the wall of the restaurant. I'm not saying don't eat fast food, okay maybe I'm implying that. Many Americans see the harm fast food is doing both their bodies and health, yet they chose not to stop eating. Big fast food joints like McDonald know their food is bad for you but will not say it because they are afraid of losing customers.
FIRST 30 MINUTES OF VIDEO:
I found it interesting that the video starts out with kids singing a song for fast food, yet in that song I didn't hear no eat your veges. Everything in america is biggest including the people making it the fattest nation in the world. Even though we know the food is not good for us one out of four Americans buy fast food a day. This is crazy that we actually know this food is bad for us yet we still go ahead and eat. I think the blame should be shared between Americans and fast food companies. We he actually said he was going to be eating McDonald for thirty days straight i thought this guy has to be crazy. I really cant believe his going through with this, like this can cause him serious health problems. Then again people like this give others a good reason not to make fast food a everyday thing. The problem with fat people is that they don't want to acknowledge that the problem is not fast food but they themselves. He was able to maintain his body weight before this by eating right unlike most Americans. The lady from Frances said something very interesting " it's the american way to sue for everything" this is very true. If we feel as though the fast food companies are the reason why we are fat we sue them knowing well they didn't make us buy their food. We need to stop putting the blame on this companies and start making the right decisions. In a way i agree with John F. Banzhaf III because McDonald's does have a big influences on kids with the playgrounds happy meals, and toys it offers it's customer. Kids don't have a mind of their own so it's very hard for kids to understand whats good for them and whats bad for them. Fast food joints over the years have increase their sizes of cups and prices. A large 7/11 double gulp cup are 64oz of half galleon that holds about 6 to 8 hundred calories just for one person. It's crazy to see he actually threw up after eating. Most people don't threw up but again a massive amount of weight. In the last twin teen years their have been an increase in weight again in both adults, kids, and teen. If this trend continues 1 /3 children born in the year two thousand will develop diabetes. If any parents our watching this and our still eating fast food then they must really not care about the future children health. At least 700 million Americans have type two diabetes. This is absolutely crazy 700 million people have diabetes. This is really cutting their life span in the middle to about 17-20 years. Eating fast food also has a big effect on kids weight and self esteem. No child want to be called fat or want to wish you they were like the other skinny kids. The question I have no answer to is do we blame the parents or do we blame the food companies? Jared Fogle should be an example to Americans in the sense that there are fast food out there that are good for you because McDonald can taste good now but after eating it, the only thing it's doing is adding inches to your waist.
next 30 minutes: I'm happy that Jared went to a school and shared his story because the kids and parents now know somebody that has been in their same situation and can see how he over over came it. As i watch the doctor speak about the amount of ice he eta and how his father didn't want to think the product he made so much money of off could kill somebody, it made me think that all this owners of fast food joints really don't care what happens to us as long as they are making their money they could careless the harm their product have on the buyers. Until the owners start getting sick and having health problems, then they will understand the effect their products have on people. After eating McDonald for five days he eats about 5000 calories a day. Which is just over eating. He goes from 167 to 186 in five days of eating only McDonald. I can just image how much pounds he will again after thirty days. This is making me not want to eat any fast food again. I really cant blame Americans for running to fast foods because they are very cheap and affordable for people who don't have money to go grocery shopping and make homemade food. People still go ahead and eat McDonald after seeing hair in their food and burgers that look like they were made the day before. We must not care about our selves and our health so we keep on eating and eating our selves on seven feet under the ground. It's only day nine and he is already having chest pains. They make their food so that as soon as you eat it a while later you want some more. This man did not just say he eta 265 Big Macs in a mouth. I think to him this is just a joke or and addiction. Ninety-five percent of the ads on TV are for fast food and cereals leaving only fiver percent for health food. If the average amount of ads on TV were health food maybe most Americans will feel powered to eat and live a heath live style. This is so funny how this kids can identify pictures of food and not history and stuff. In 2004 McDonald spend 1.4 billion dollars making people know their products while the five a day food and vegetable spend 2 million dollars. Its very hard to compete with McDonald. McDonald try to say nutrition facts food all their foods are online but according to the 2000 census people don't have internet at home and when you go to the store it is hidden in the corner where people cant see, or its not even posted on the wall. He gains sixteen pounds in twelve days. Schools have a big effect on kids because you wont see your friends eating fires and chicken and chose to eat a salad it's very impossible for kids to make good decisions. What happen to cooks cooking in school? In that public school the kids are eating health which is just as much as the fast food being severed in other school, yet the kids are still paying attention and listening.
next 30 minutes : It's really funny how Texas is the fattest city in America and the workers in the McDonald are fast. It starts from being a kid that exercise is a habit. In that elementary school kids our working out for fourteen-five minutes a day. This video is making me laugh, people don't know what calories are. I agree with his girlfriend and also disagree with her. I agree with her in the sense that being a vegan is really good for your health but at the same time I disagree with her because we need meat as proteins just not the type McDonald sells. I wonder if he knows if he continues this he might die. He needs to stop or else he is going to wipe out his leaver and that's not good. He doesn't even know the long term damages that this can do. His mood goes up whenever he eats meaning his getting addicted to it. If people around the world are saying it's not good to eat fast food then i don't see why people keep eating it. All the nutritionist they talk too say the only time you can eat fast food is only if its a life or dead situation. What he says is true the only health ads on TV are actually pills and bars no ad at that time was really promoting exercise. So people when people feel they have tried everything the can to lose weight and can't they go and get a gastric bypass. But the fact remains what happens to the rest of the people who cant afford this surgery. It's day 21 and he can't breath and his having heart problems due to fast food. He must be a fighter because i would have given up the first day i saw i gained one pound. On day 22 he looks so sick and restless. lobbyist like the GMA really don't care about what they do. All they think of is the money the will make from influencing law makers. The lobbies for all this fast food companies just say "I THINK WE OUR PART OF THE PROBLEM" I hope law makers are watching this video. That is a shame that they don't know the pledge but they know the Big Mac slow gin. Just when i thought Morgan learned his lesson he goes back to finish his diet. It's day 30 and Morgan eats his last meal and gets ready to face the next day with the thoughts of not eating McDonald. He starts with a weight of 186 and ends with a weight off 210.
last 9 minutes: The girls lost their case because they fail to show that McDonald was the reason for their weight gain. But in only 30 day Morgan gain 24.5 pounds, his cholesterol went to 230 and his now has a fat leaver. When he didn't eat the food he had headaches which is actually crazy that he didn't get the headaches when he eta the food. What people think about is the price of this food not the price they will be paying for eating this food. It's scary to believe that people eat this food everyday. Morgan is right fast food owners loyalty is not to the buyer but to the stock holders. We have to make the decision not to eat fast food. The question is who would you like to see go first you or them?
